KIDS' QUIPS

LESSON ON FASTING...

One Sunday Elijah asked me what fasting was so I did my best to explain it to him, but apparently I failed. I drive him and another boy who is in our ward to school every morning and as we were driving on Monday I heard this very funny and interesting conversation:

"Manuel, did you eat breakfast this morning?"

"No"

"Oh! You must be fasting then!"

"What's fasting"

"It's when you don't eat food because someone is sad, or sick, or their house is on fire. "

PLAY, DON'T EAT!

One day the boys were playing with Play-Do in the kitchen...and I learned how underdeveloped their brains still are:

Elijah: "Ephraim, I made you a sandwich!"

(Momentary silence followed by Ephraim sputtering and spitting)

Elijah: "Ephraim!! You're not supposed to eat it!!"
